Cycling, Coffee, and Captures

Hello! I'm Joaco, though here in Poland, where I've been living for the past three years, people know me as “Hlakin”. I'm originally from Argentina, and my life here is a blend of organizing video game events and dedicating time to my two main hobbies: photography and cycling. In this blog, I want to show you a different side of Mallorca. Yes, it’s a cyclist's paradise, but it also has cafés worth discovering.

My main job is organizing video game events around the world, but every time I have a free moment, I take the chance to hop on my bike or go exploring with my camera. On my last trip to Mallorca, I wanted to capture unique spots where cyclists can enjoy a great coffee along with amazing scenery.

For me, cycling is more than a sport; it’s a way to connect with people and places I might not encounter otherwise.

During this trip, I discovered that Mallorca is much more than the famous Sa Calobra or the Formentor lookout. Thanks to local friends, I found amazing routes, both alone and with company. One memorable ride was with Belu, whom I’d chatted with on Instagram but hadn’t met in person. We started the day in Palma with breakfast at Hotto, a café run by fellow Argentinians, then set off for the Col de Sa Creu route, which offers spectacular views.

Another favorite café was Blend Brunch in Puerto de Andrach. Along with excellent coffee, the views along the route are breathtaking, especially around Camp de Mar, where it’s nearly impossible to stay focused on cycling.

Swipe to find some of my favorite spots for capturing photos and enjoying the scenery!
For coffee lovers, these spots are unmissable: Hotto, La Finca Corner, Nano Coffee, Blend Brunch (Puerto de Andrach), and Mistral
